The EKA Environmental Scan (EKA ES) covers all developments in the health- and business sector that affects healthcare professionals and their practices. EKA scans relevant Portfolio Committees in Parliament, malpractice case law, National Department of Health developments (policies, events and legislation up for comment), developments in professional councils and statutory bodies such as the Council for Medical Schemes, including CMS rulings, developments in COVID-19 policy and law, etc. – all compiled and summarised, with references to source documents, in this monthly report. The report is send out at the end of each month covering that month.
